Clinical Instructor (Two Positions) - School of Nursing
The purpose of the job:
Contributing to the scholarship and intellectual life of the university by teaching, conducting research
and mentoring students in line with the University’s guidelines in academic affairs to achieve overall
objectives
Requirements
• Christian commitment and practice
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or its equivalent from an accredited University
• Three (3) years professional experience with evidence of clinical teaching
• Additional training or certification in the relevant area will be an added advantage.
• Valid practicing licence from the Nursing Council of Kenya
Responsibilities
• Participate in curriculum and program review and development for Clinical learning.
• Provide learning and supervision for Nursing students during skills and simulation lab classes
and in clinical placement for Curriculum implementation.
• Organize a master rotation plan for clinical placement in liaison with the respective School of
Nursing heads of department.
• Collaborate in building linkages and liaison with management of clinical sites for effective
learning.
• Develop change initiatives for clinical placement to achieve desired program goals.
• Implement professional practice in clinical learning and research .
• Monitor and evaluate students learning for patient centered care in clinical learning.
• Mentor students in academic and spiritual nurture during clinical placement.
• Ensure consistent demonstration by students during clinical placement of the lived Christian
values in line with the university’s vision.
