MECHANICAL FITTER
Job Description
We are looking for tradesperson –Heavy Diesel Mechanics for our Australian clients
The successful candidate’s duties will include, but not limited to;
- You will be responsible for working with maintenance team to ensure that all mechanical maintenance activities (break in’s, follow-up-work, PM’s. planned work etc) are performed in a safe, timely, professional and effective manner.
- You will be required to work with the team and provide technical advice, support and mentoring as required.
- You will be expected to participate and/ or provide feedback in the continual improvement of systems and procedures employed by the department.
Required skills and experience
- Trade certificate in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (fitting) Apprenticeship in engineering tradesperson (Mechanical Fitter).
- Experience in a mechanical maintenance environment in mill processing facilities (preferably 2 years minimum).
- Sound understanding of mechanical processes.
- Experienced with crushing and milling equipment, centrifugal pumps, (Warman in particular)
- Experienced in preventative maintenance systems.
- Experience in the generation of job Hazard Assessments and safety observations.
- Work safely and not create or ignore hazards.
- Read and interpret technical reports.
- Current “Class” Western Australian Driver’s License.
- Reliable and enthusiastic.
- Willingness to relocate to Australia.
